Default Question for the Cheese heads

A guy I work with has a friend in Wisconsin who told him that the way one celebrates their own birthday is to give gifts such as cupcakes or the like to their family and friends, their family and friends do not give the person gifts though.

Has any one here ever heard of this?

Is it a regional thing?

Is it a tradition from the old country?

Tard I know you can answer this one, you know every one in Wisconsin right?

I think it's and individual thing. My sister gives people gifts and such on her birthday. I don't mean really expensive gifts and such but just small fun gifts. On occasion, she even bakes.

Stuckinthereeds funny you should mention baking, his friend normally gives his friends cupcakes on his birthday. What suprised us all was his friend and never heard of GETTING gifts on your birthday! He did say he liked that way better then the one he practices now.

Your friend is smoking too much ganja...

You celebrate your birthday by calling into work sick and your buddies get you hammered at the bar and give you power wedgies.

The only time you give stuff to other people is at work. You bring in donuts etc. on your birthday. If you don't bring them in you generally get a bad review from your boss.

BTW it is not my friend, but a co-workers friend in Wisconsin, BTW did I mention he was a pickle puffer![8D]

In regards to power wedgies you know you have delivered on properly when the entire waist band of there drawers rips free!!!![8D]

I have a buddy that is a roofer who has an affinity for my underwear when i'm not looking. If the wifey drops me off at the bar I have to make sure I have old underwear on because I inevitably get a power wedgie performed on me about 2 hours into the festivities. It's not that bad if you can hold your butt cheeks together really tight but when his brother grabs one of your legs and pulls it out sideways while you're receiving said wedgie you're in for a whole hell of alot of hurt.

OMG, I'm sitting here rolling on the floor !!! LOL

Taz, at my age, I don't want any more presents. At our office, we just bring in donuts, bagels or any kind of snack for everyone to enjoy.

p.s., we try to stay away from glazed donuts !!!
