do you know that a trick used in clothing manufacturers is to label a womens size clothes 2-4 sizes smaller than they actually are ? A woman is MUCH more likely to buy a size 8 that fits (and is mislabeled) than a size 14 that fits and really does indicate how big her ass is

Food industry and drug company lobbyists bought the new figure so Americans can feel comfortable being fat and getting fatter.

Oh no, those eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil companies again!

Up until recently, being fat was not normal or widely accepted. Don't tell me people all of the sudden don't know that it's bad for your physical and mental health. Fat kids in gym classes have been struggling to breathe for decades. We all learned what it meant to be obese during our childhoods.

If you're fat, blame your mouth, not the companies making a living supplying the junk food you demand!

I very well could be wrong, but it seems to me one of the largest industries in the US today is the diet industry which covers the gambit of pharmicutical, resteraunt, food, gyms, exercise equipment, and the like. I have a very strong feeling that thier combined financial assets not only far exceed that of the food industry alone.

At issue is the subversive manipulation of the findings of a government agency at the whim of industry which is illegal and unethical.

The mission of the CDC is supposed to be nonpartisan public health interests - not bowing to big business.

You came in here complaining about corruption, but you give no background information to support the charge. You didn't even link the CDC web site. If you want me to believe that companies bought the CDC, please give a little more compelling evidence.

I dont doubt these things happen in the goverment . Much like when on here i mentioned bribery/payoffs involving the drug companys& the fda& polticans . Afew ppl called me odd? & a few other things& said it didnt exist. It took me 2 minates to prove the highly payed education wrong& the other who has personal involment in the industry.
And i KNOW theres a whole bunch more- not brought forth or on google or put in front of a congressional investagation- that takes place.

The cdc is run on poltices to - just look how they covered aids from the very start & some of there claims. I dont kknow money was involed there..but poltical correctness & speical intrests groups& society minipulated ideas.
