Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

What a crock, these republican appointees are handing out rulings that just plain liberal - and the pretend conservatives keep putting them on the bench.

Advance to "go" and collect your $200 dollars.

I notice that also. They make a big deal about election time being important because of conservatives being placed on the bench, but then somehow the true conservative judges are overlooked in favor of those that contributed to the $campaign$. After reading enough case law from district courts and courts of appeals, it is obvious those judges have been out there. They are just overlooked because many of them think too far outside the box for most Republicans.

Right on.

Most conservative politicians talk the talk at election time to "drum up the base" but don't have the ba11s to make the hardcore appointments they promised - thusd they end up appointing liberals passed off as moderates - and the genius is, somehow the democrats always get blamed - poor bunch of saps,,,,, funny as he11 I think.
It is funny that the Democrats get blamed and everyone believes they are at fault, but it annoys me to no end that the Republicans have no backbone whatsoever when making judicial appointments. The Democrats do, they'll tell you they are going to appoint a liberal and they intend on doing it. What's really sad is some of the Republican appointments sometimes turn out to be more liberal than even the Democrats could have hoped.

Look at some of the intended bush appointees, anti-firearm, pro AA, pro illegal immigration...

the two parties are hardly different, the repubs just have better PR right now.

Since the liberal agenda has conclusively and repeatedly proven itself to be a total failure and unwanted by the public you have to wonder why it's so important to them to pursue it .

No offense to North Texan as he is obviously an intelligent and logical fellow BUT the problem with most judges is they are lawyers who are more concerned with crafting their legacy instead of applying the constitution to cases before them. This results in them making rulings that they think are fair, reasonable, logical or even consistent with the present morality of society. While this may or may not produce desirable results, depending upon your political beliefs, in the long run it only produces political anarchy and is why democracies tend to have shorter life expectancies.
