Honest question about McDonald's (no racism please....)

Here's a question for you all....

I just stepped out during lunchtime and figured I grab something quick to eat and return back to work at my desk. So, I just ran up to the McDonald's up the road a ways. No big deal...

Mods: Please do not CTRL-ALT-DEL this... I am just innocently asking a question and pointing things out. No racism, no discrimination, no anything....

Why is everybody at McDonald's black? There were three black guys in the back cooking/assembling/microwaving the food. The rest are black ladies at the counter, the french fry area, and at the drivethru.

What is up with the ebonics or whatever hip-hop lingo they are saying to one another? When I was at the counter, they were nice and polite, and took my order. But then went back to chatting with the other ladies and talking in hip-hop terms and joking around.

Is it me, or am I not "pretty fly for a white guy"?

How come no white people are working at McDonald's? Has the company changed that much? With the "I'd hit it" commercials and stuff like that?

Where's VC.... Say it. I can take it... "HONKEY"

Seriously, it's because of welfare reform. Same thing around here, since the enactment of our W2 (welfare to work) people are forced to go out and get jobs.

There are no whites in any McDonald's within 25 miles of my home. They are all foreign-born hispanics. I worked at McDonald's in high school, and I make a not to examine the entire "restaurant" whenever I stand at the counter waiting a while for food that should take no more than 1.5 minutes to hand to the customer. Of course, when I say "no pickle, with mayonaisse", I get extra pickle and no mayo. These people have no clue what they're doing because they probably can't fully understand the fine operational details set by the corporation.

I think one reason that these places represent the antithesis of diversity is because white, black, and asian kids don't want to work in a place where they can't talk to anyone. Once it goes 100% of anything, it tends to drive away others.

Around here ALL fast food is 100% black without exception. And I'm talking a 100 mile radius. The reason being is whites won't take the job. There is a stigma that only "losers" work at McDonalds......

I can say I have never seen an average white person working at a Mcdonalds. The rare caucasion that you do run into looks like someone who is down on there luck and just HAD to get a job.....

BAH, you get outside of milwaukee and ALL fast food is worked by whites.
the "whitey don't want the job" is a total crock.

It's probably "whitey is better educated in this area" if anything else.

Same here. Not to mention that any job is better than no job, and McDonald's really isn't that bad. Only the spoiled rich kids would make a fuss about flipping burgers during their teens.
