I have a pet deer. His name, oddly enough, is Bucky. I keep him on 5 acres in the country.
Please help me by sending an email to Arkansas G&F telling them to stop hunting within a 15 mile radius of my house.
Why would I suggest this ? Because some fool hunter might shoot my pet deer if he ever got out and roamed around and/or lost his collar.
Right VC ? The possibility that my deer (or cat) could be mistaken for a legal game animal should clearly be reason to NOT allow hunting anywhere around my place, right ? I mean, not my responsibility to keep track of my animals, rather its the hunters to not shoot them, right ?

In many areas, including mine and probably yours, you cannot kill domestic animals, unless as in your case, they are threatening physical harm to you, your family, or your property. Kill a domestic non-feral cat or a harmless dog that is simply walking through your property and you will likely face the potential loss of your firearms as well as facing prosecution and coughing the monetary value of the animal if its owner finds out.
Oh, and I'm no lawyer, but I'd bet that you'd best be careful about using a firearm for people that you simply "think" will hurt you or your family. I would imagine its just a tad more complicated than that, but then that's another thread, isn't it?
As you can see from the above quote, datamax does not concern himself with the law. He does what he wants if he has a firearm in his hands.
