Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

That actually bolsters my argument.

Have you ever seen a "dog shooting" game ??? -- NOPE.

But you see alot of literature and games about shooting/torturing/maiming cats. Some of

these people actually went so far as to print a book "101 uses for dead cats" and how

about the early 80's moderately successfull couch pillow named "earl the dead cat".

Cats have alternately been revered or hated for thousands of years , why is it so hard to accept that they can be both relative to their population ? One cat is a cute kitty , hundreds of them are disease carrying/tick spreading/quail annhilating vermin .

It's really not a difficult concept . Vermin exist to be eradicated , pets exist to be loved . Control your pet and it will never become vermin . Owner responsibility is the cornerstone , if you're not willing to tend a cat box then don't have a cat . Keep your housecat in your house and have it spayed just in case she gets out . Once Fluffy goes feral she becomes vermin and she will disappear . What does it matter if she eats a bullet or becomes 'yote turds ? Either way , it's your fault .

so you admit the "cat shooters" argument is based upon emotion and not fact ?

No ,
I base it on the perfectly logical position that there are far too many feral cats in this country whether you want to admit it or not .

I have two cats , and almost like them both , but I take responsibility for their actions . If one of mine was outside and I saw it chasing a turkey poult or rabbit rest assured that I would quickly put a .22 LR in it's skull . Yes , my own cat . One is already fixed , and the other soon will be(we just got him recently) , so they won't be making more problems for my neighbors who are predominantly farmers . It isn't emotional for me at all , and it isn't hunting , it's vermin control and nothing more . I take no more pleasure in killing a nuisance cat than I do for a dog , woodchuck , or any other vermin . I look at it as performing a service .

Why is that? Because cats suck

Its called a joke. You know those thing you hear/see that cause that funny coughing like noise to come from your body that is followed by a nice feeling.

I like the cat's in the kettle song! Reminds me of the chinese food places across the street. No strays running around this neighborhood. Wonder why?

I think I'll stick with Bryan's and Don Pablo's.

Yes and No, the point being, you only find that with certain "creatures".

- The Teletubbies
- Barney
- Cats

Now if you want a thoughtfull answer Id have to say;
Dogs are packing animals. They make their owner the alpha. Dogs depend on their owners, are less independent, and humans like to be wanted. Id say that is why you dont see jokes about dogs. It tends to be more taboo.
