Default Are coyotes the answer?

To the feral cat problem!!!! I have heard the best way to tell if coyotes are in your area is a distinct abscence of outdoor cats!!!!!

At least yotes are a native species!

We have too many yotes here in MI as it is. There's a couple of feral cats that live around my barn. They don't bother me much so I let them live. There is a male and female. Had a litter last year but I haven't seen one the offspring. My guess is the coyotes got them. There are so many yotes in our area that they often can be seen during the day in neighbors' back yards.

A large raptor (Red Tailhawk+ sized hawks) generally will do a good job on Kittens too. Great Horned owls too. Not the adult cats so much as the youguns... But yes, were there are Yotes the cats don't fair near as well as were there are not Yotes.. That being said, car traffic does its toll on cat populations too.

What needs to be done is to bring yotes into the city, that way Tard and vc will not have to worry about the domestic kitties as long as they stay in the house where domestic kitties live.

Rabies? Hey no big problem there, cats don't get rabies, ask Tard and vc!

Not here. That would be bobcats and owls in this part of the woods. Cats can usually get up a tree to get away from a coyote. Doesn't work so well for bobcats. And they don't ever see the owls coming until it's too late. I lost one of my pet cats, Baxter, a few months ago to an owl.

Never said that. Any mammal can get/carry rabies. Even your fece eating drooling dog..

Only bad thing about that, yotes dont come too close to humans. Feral cats will. Around here, people will have a small dog or cat carried off by a yote, but usually because the dog/cat wondered too far from home.
