Well ole Uncle Ted opens his trap again. Wants all Gun Owners to be Extremists.
With an assault weapon in each hand, rocker and gun rights advocate Ted Nugent urged National Rifle Association members to be "hardcore, radical extremists demanding the right to self defense."Speaking at the NRA's annual convention Saturday, Nugent said each NRA member should try to enroll 10 new members over the next year and associate only with other members.
"Let's next year sit here and say, 'Holy smokes, the NRA has 40 million members now,'" he said. "No one is allowed at our barbecues unless they are an NRA member. Do that in your life."
Nugent sang and played a guitar painted with red and white stripes for the crowd at Houston's downtown convention center.
He drew the most cheers when he told gun owners they should never give up their right to bear arms and should use their guns to protect themselves if needed.
"Remember the Alamo! Shoot 'em!" he screamed to applause. "To show you how radical I am, I want carjackers dead. I want rapists dead. I want burglars dead. I want child molesters dead. I want the bad guys dead. No court case. No parole. No early release. I want 'em dead. Get a gun and when they attack you, shoot 'em."
He reminds me of PETA just say something the stupidist way you can to get publicity.

I respect what he's trying to do, but I don't know that I agree with his means. He is passionate about hunting and gun ownership, though, I'll give him that. If more people had his passion for things, we hunters and gun owners wouldn't have to put up with all the crap that we put up with.

You may beat the rap, but you won't beat the ride!
He does make one good point though. If we had 40 million united gunowners, we would be a huge political force to contend with and would substantially change many of these idiotic gunlaws.

If you're certain you know everything, there's little opportunity to learn anything.
He also made another comment in his address. It says, "Nugent, who walked onto the stage with a large assault weapon in each hand, said those who support gun control aren't the enemy.
"They are a joke," he said. "Our enemy is the gun owners that don't belong to the NRA."
Comments about non-NRA members who are also pro-gun such as this does not help the NRA cause. It only serves to alienate all gun owners from the organization.
The part that gets me worried about our image is his call for "NO court case." Seems to imply a mob style mentality. I'm sure this was just a prep rally but I sure wish he'd think before he say stuff like this.
