Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Mozilla Firefox

I just read about this new browser in Wired magazine. From what I've read its less prone to spyware and trackers, etc., than Internet Explorer (aren't they all?).

Anyway, I downloaded it yesterday and it seems a tad faster, has about the same format as IE and it automatically downloads all your favorites, etc.

So far so good.

Anybody else have any experience with it?

Yes, VC...I have been using Mozilla for several months now. I have been very happy with it.

Microsoft could come up with a better browser. If more people switch, perhaps they will.

YUP. Been using it for over a year. Its awesome. I love the tabbed browsing. And yes, it less prone to spyware, and all that crap. Theres also ALOT ALOT ALOT less security holes than IE.

All I can say to those pitiful people who remain using browsers from Microsoft or Apple is GET WITH THE PROGRAM AND GET YOURSELF A REAL BROWSER. You in all likelihood don"™t know this, but Microsoft has outsourced development on Internet Explorer to a company in France. No, really. Would I tell a lie to you?

Been using it since it came out. It's a lot faster on my system, the caching seems to be much more intelligent, it doesn't build up a temporary internet folder measured in gigabites if you don't watch it, uses fewer resources, is much more stable, and isn't as porous as our southern border. Oh, and I almost NEVER get any pop-ups, and my spam amounts have dropped to almost nothing because of the added security and resistance to data miners and spyware. It occationally lets something through that I catch with AdAware, but not even close to as much as I got with IE.

Firefox is definately the way to go.

i've been using it for over a year as well. I don't use IE much anymore as its a big juicy target for viruses and spyware.

I have been using it for a month now thanks to the advice of HNI Justin. Best move I have made with my computer. Internet Explorer doesn't belong in the same sentence with Firefox. Going to download Thunderbird email as well very soon.
