How could Pope John Paul not do anything about all the child molestations that took place in the US, especially Boston parishes over the last few years? Bernard Cardinal Law simply moved priest from one parish to another when he became aware what these priests were doing. Parishes have had to shut down because of the financial liability due to many law suits. Legal settlements have been as popular in the Catholic Church as Sunday Mass. Finally Law was relieved of his duties and sent to Rome. Some of the priests that were convicted are now in prison and one was murdered there just last year.
These priests have ruined many, many lives. Some young men have commited suicide because of what happened to them at the hands of these dispictable priests. Yet with all that happened the Pope also seemed to ignore it. Of the 117 Cardinals in Rome, nine were selected to say a Mass dedicated to the Pope during these 9 days of mourning since his death. One of those Cardinals was Law...He will also be involved in the election of a new Pope.....won't they ever learn?

Apparently not. This is more than just a slap in the face of the families involved. It's a slap at God also.[:@]
