Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

To the best of my knowledge, preachers were not given the power to judge in the Bible. I was under the impression that power was reserved for God alone.

Yes that is to bad how some ppl are treated.Do you think its ok when they treat others likewise?Christians or not?The common everyday nobody?
And when ppl go the other way in there claims of what they say about the pope? Such as the pope is more then just a man-But like Jesus etc etc?
But as you say so called-christian- i agree anyone can call themself anything- it sure dosnt make it so.

This makes me sick and very angry but I want to tell you all so you can help combat this cancer-talk as I am (Tard in particular will be outraged)

In my area, many of the "Backwards-Backwoods" churches preach that Catholics are not Christians. They even secretly fund missionaries to Catholic nations to convert the Catholics to Baptist and other "Charismatic" faiths. I have heard this all my life and know it to be true.

Now this set me on fire----------

Last Sunday, I was told of a local backwards preacher who said IN HIS SERMON that there - quote...
"Would be a greasey slab in Hell for the Pope."

Fight this ignorance if it exists in your area.

I am outraged. I can't find the words......[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]

This hate-cancer spouted by these backwards idiots is as bad as radical Islam - or worse because it comes from so-called Christians.

[:@][:@][:@][>:][>:][>:]
Unfortunately, that knife cuts both ways.
I have had Catholics treat me the same way.
You are right though...it is ignorant.

I grew up Catholic, and while I did occationally hear some isolated negative comments uttered by other parishners, I never once heard a priest utter a derogatory word about people of other faiths. On the other hand, I have heard on many, many occations the venomous anti-Catholic rhetoric spewed forth by self-proclaimed "Christians," of various Protestant persuations. And the more "charismatic" the church is, the more rampant and institutionalized the hatred seems to be. I think that that is why, though I have attended many different protestant services, I have never converted to any of them. I just couldn't bear what I percieved as institutionalised hypocracy. How can one be a Christian, and then hate other Christians just because they don't practice their faith like your preacher says you ought to?

I haven't heard that many christians bash anybody, catholics or christians. when i occasionally do so, I leave that church quickly. I agree that some ministers are simply running a scam and will have a lot to answer for. But then, I also believe some pedophile priests and those in the church who protect them will also have a lot to answer for.

That doesn't bother me in the least.

We catholics are a hearty bunch..

I think that the anti-catholic rhetoric is more out of fear than anything else. they're jealous of the cool hat and the pope mobile.

We even had a poster here a few years back who couldn't let a day go by without starting a Catholic bashing thread or a thread about how the Pope was Satan.[:'(]

As much as these backwoods fundamentalists hate Catholics, they have no problem letting the Catholics doing the heavy lifting and converting people to Christianity before they themselves try to sell their own brand of the Religeon.

Why would other peoples religion have any effect on anyone else. All Christians believe in the same God only the rituals are different. Everybody sees their religion as the "the way." everybody else is wrong and on the path to Hell. We kill each other all around the world because of religion

I have come to two truths...I have no real clue what is beyond this earthly existence, if any...and the second is that no one else does either.
