Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Why cant you block fed/state telemarketers?

Im on the do not call list. I have had no telemarketer call me except the D.O.T.s. The highway patrol has called me three times wanting me to contribute money to them. When I tell them Im on the do not call list, they tell me that it does not apply to them. I then tell them to quit calling, with little effect. I contribute through the Judges association, which my father in-law is part of. I feel that Is good enough. Im sick of being harassed by the Highway patrols.

I hear ya, Burnie.... [:@] My wife and I signed up on the national "do not call" list. But, we too have been getting bombarded by the Police Officers Association and Firefighters and so on. I have told them repeatedly "Guys, I already gave - good luck. Hit up somebody else..." but they still bug me!

Right, the government placing itself on the same level as corporations or the rest of us? Not going to happen.

Try playing the 'CHiPs' theme in the background until they leave you alone.

If I recall, I don't beleive charities are governed by the "do not call" list. And these are probably considered charities !

Priz is right ,
charitable , religious , and political orgs are exempt .

I'm on the national and Indiana do not calls , and I get
calls from the cops . I'm now a contributing member to the Indiana FOP and State Troopers funds since I consider them worthy causes , but I tell the rest to kiss off .

a.k.a. non-profit organizations -- You didn't think the politicians would leave themselves out in the cold, did you?
