The incest taboo is in place because 1st cousin's genetic makeup is too close.

Recessive bad genetic traits would crop their ugly heads up and you would be a family lineage of mutants.

Do you think everyone should have genetic testing BEFORE marriage to make sure there isn't a clah of genes then ?

Of course not, but I think people should also have the common sense and common decency to NOT spread genetic diseases just for the sake of "having kids".

eg: Marfan's syndrome, severe scoliosis etc. etc. But they do it all the time cause they're selfish.

Some states still do allow first cousins to marry. I don't care enough to do anything about it. If you're in love, that's just the way it is. Regardless of whatever small minority would want to do something like that, most people have no interest whatsoever. Not a big problem.
