unplug him, let him die a peacful death. It might take a few days for him to dehydrate and his body fail ........... but hey, no big deal there, right ?

Just can't let it go, can you SC?
Besides, the Pope wishes are well known in this matter, and he wishes to be kept alive as long as possible, so "pulling the plug" would be out of the question in this case. If he had made it know that he wanted no extraordinary measures taken, then that's his choice and the doctors should comply with his wishes.
He's not trying, his mind is in a vegatative state, he's already dead because as we've discussed here without the mind, there is no human life, just a shell of a body that is NOT a living human being.
Hes still fighting to live ? How do you figure ? He's less alive that Terri was. I bet he's laying there, comatose, his mind is gone, his body is struggling even with machines to keep going. Terri's body didn't need machines to keep it alive.
And you're right, I won't let it go. Terri's body was in FAR better condition than the Pope's is and her mind questionably better yet she was allowed to dehydrate to death in the name of "peaceful death". Let the Pope go Peacefully ............ and please show me where he said he wanted to live in a vegatative/comatose state ?
The focus has changed somewhat from Terri to the Pope. Just yeterday a lady finally died after suffering for 15 years. She should have died with more dignity.
Now we hear Pope John Paul is is failing. Hopefully his suffering will be mininum and he will reach his final reward soon.
