Mexican Military on Standby in Response to Minutemen

Mexico's President Vicente Fox is preparing to respond militarily to a group of U.S volunteers who plan to patrol the U.S.-Mexican border starting tomorrow, positioning more than a thousand troops nearby, according to an Arizona TV station.

"The Mexican military is on stand-by," reports NBC's Tucson affiliate KVOA. "One unit has about a thousand soldiers. They're located just across the border."

Over the last week spokesmen for the border patrol volunteers, who dub themselves Minutemen, have said they will not attempt to detain Mexican illegals, but rather report them to the Border Patrol and track them till they're apprehended.
Despite the assurances, Mexican officials met with the mayor of Douglas, Arizona on Tuesday to discuss how they will handle potential violence, KVOA said.

Last week President Fox warned at a Mexico City press conference:

"We totally reject the idea of these migrant-hunting groups. We will use the law, international law and even U.S. law to make sure these types of groups, which are a minority, will not have any opportunity to progress."

This is simply Fox's way of coping with the heat he's feeling. He'd rather starve everyone in his country than allow illegals to stop sending their millions upon millions back home to boost Mexico's economy.

Lol, the only reason we haven't yet is because we keeping giving them money to fix things while we're there. Americans need to drop the cameras and grab some rifles.

I lived about 70-miles north of Douglas, Arizona for two years. Civilians patroling the border is not something new. They have been doing this for years. Southern, Arizona residents are sick & tired of crime, drugs & illegals crossing the border. The U.S. government has done little to stop the illegals.
I have watched illegals turning themselves into the border patrol at the end of harvest season. Mexicans cross the border & work in the U.S.A. for months. They get paid in cash (no taxes) for there labor. They get a free ride back to the Mexican border when the work runs out.

Vincente doesn't have the cojones to order troops to fire across the border , he knows the game(and the gimmes) will be over the second he does . I'm not losing sleep over it .

I've said all along that we should just quit ***** footing with Mexico and seal the damned border , by force if necessary . We could just call it "live fire military excercises" for the first 50 years or so .

Saber rattling without obvious conviction is just bluster ,
the Chinese have been doing it since the 40s and we haven't invaded them . My guess is that the balls free Vincente is afraid that 1,000 pissed off cowboys armed with deer rifles are gonna wade the Rio Grande and kick their asses again like last time . That's about all it would take , ever seen a Mexican shoot ? Pfffffttttt !

BTW , would you mind posting the chapter of the WPA that mandates invasion just because a foreign entity positions troops on their own border ? Thanks in advance .
