"Snow" job on CSPAN

Did any of you catch the speech by Treasury Secretary John Snow on Social Security reform? I know there are problems, but it doesn't engender confidence in the future of the system when the guy in charge says in multiple variations that he's glad the public has a hopeful outlook that we can fix the problems and that the president is open to all suggestions.

Having a plan to be open to suggestions is not a plan, it's a "half-measure."

If adminstrations, starting with this one, stopped spending the money in the fund the problem would that largely solve the problem?

Bush said, "The American people need to decide what they will want social security to look like in the future."

Thats ok with me. It must change and it surely will.
