Ever had a pet put down?

I have more times then I care to think about, I have them put down when I can no longer bear to see a pet I love suffer.

It is heart breaking to do this, but you know that your pet is no longer able to live its life in a manner it wants to live.

Three years ago I had one of my favorite dogs put down, her name was Tarna. She had bone cancer and was in bad shape. It was a heart breaker. I still miss her. She was an english bulldog pit mix. She was a great dog. I have a malimute that now 16 years old. I dont think she will be around long. I hope she just falls a sleep and doenst wake up. I dont want to have to go throught all the euthinasia agian.[

I have a strong feeling that the silence from some folks who have done this will be deafening!!!

I never put mine down. When they're aging, old, crippled etc etc I cage them up and neglect them, and let them dehydrate and starve to death.

Here, this is Buddy, the last one I let die mercifully. I loved him more than life itsself. Thank God it only took him 17 days to starve and dehydrate.

Man data you really dissapointed me, I figured you would hook them up to a life support sytem and let them suffer as long as you could keep them going by the life support and feeding tube!!

I know that is sure what I would want my wife to do with me, hook me up to anything and everything to where I can live that QUALITY life of not being able to do a darn thing for as long as possible!!

I bet the bed sores are real comfortable, that and having your diaper changed, of course you get to lay in it for a while since you can't tell any one you crapped your self!!!

Oh yea buddy that is the QUALITY of life for me!
