Default Wild animals are really picky eaters

Just got off the phone with my mother.

She has a wild red fox living in her back yard. She regularily feeds it beef or chicken.

She called me a couple days ago and said she was out of meat, what should she feed it. I said "hell, it's a fox, just give it some dry cat food".

so she took a plastic plate that had 3 sections in it.

In one section she put dry cat food, the other she put gravy (why I don't know - the gravy thing has me baffled).

Went out 24 hours later and the cat food was still there, the gravy was still there, and in the 3rd section was a fox turd.

absolutely true.
