You don't have to go through all that trouble. You can use straight filtered cooking oil, if you have a secondary diesel fuel tank. Just run diesel for the first 5 minutes (to warm up the engine) and the last 5 minutes (to clear out the oil). Run cooking oil the rest of the time. You'll just need some mechanism to switch fuel supplies.
