As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U.S. Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view ... it is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments!
DID YOU KNOW?
As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door.
DID YOU KNOW?
As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!
DID YOU KNOW?
There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C.
DID YOU KNOW?
James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement:
"We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."

Patrick Henry, that patriot and Founding Father of our country said:
"It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ".

Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of interpreting the law would begin making law

DID YOU KNOW?
The very first Supreme Court Justice, John Jay, said:
"Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers."
How, then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this country is now suddenly wrong and unconstitutional?
Please forward this to everyone you can. Lets put it around the world and let the world see and remember what this great country was built on.
Thank you!!
Chamber, US House of Representatives
I was asked to send this on if I agreed or delete if I didn't. Now it is your turn...
It is said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having the 10 commandments on display or "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in the Pledge of Allegiance. Why don't we just tell the 14% to Sit Down and SHUT UP!!! or go back to their country to live.

That is the most dangerous issue at hand regarding usurping of the constitution. Activist judges are a scourge in this country and need to be taken to task. But for some reason the people in this country feel that if some crazed liberal in a black robe says that it's ok, it must then of necessity be OK.
I've ranted about this on many occasions, everything from SCOTUS basing decisions on european law to the latest one, Kramer in Kookafornia saying that *****s can marry because it's "unconstitutional" to ban it.
Hell, i'm not a lawyer and I know he's full of crappola.
Thomas Jefferson...."Christianity neither is, nor was a part of the common law."..."I do not find in orthodox Christianity one redeeming feature"..."Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man"....."O contemplate with soveriegn reverence that act of he whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof' thus building a wall of seperation between church and State."
James Madison...."And I have no doubt that every new example will succeed, as every past one has done, in showing that religion and Govt will both exist is greater purity, the less they are mixed together."
John Adams..."As the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion."
Adolph Hitler..."I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator, by defending myself against the Jews, I am fighting for the Lord."....."Loyalty and responsibility toward the people and the Fatherland (Nation) are most deeply anchored in the Christian faith.
George Carlin...."Maybe Jesus saves...but the Tooth Fairy pays hard cash."
Activist judges have always been around. Remember the "Trail of Tears", Andy Jackson wanted to move the Cherokee nation west so whites could take their land. They had done all the Govt asked them to do but were thrown out anyway. Chief Justice John Marshall told Jackson it was unconstitutional, Jackson said" Marshall has made his ruling, but I have the Army, let him enforce it." You get the picture.
As for the gay marriage thing, so what. We can't have it both ways. We support marriage and frown on fornication but we won't let 6-10 percent of our population have the same rights as the other majority. I'm not crazy about it either, but I learned many years ago that we as individuals can discriminate anyway we want but as a Govt everyboby should have the same rights...that is what the Constitution is about, protecting everybodys rights against the majority...who may not be right.
Why don't we just tell the 14% to Sit Down and SHUT UP!!! or go back to their country to live.
Because this is my country, and am I'm damned proud to be here. You don't need God to love freedom.
I don't have a problems with Christians, or the Ten Commandments, or the Pledge. Sure I'd like to have things as uniform as possible so they encompass all patriotic Americans, but I'm not going to have a temper tantrum and run for Canada.
However, that last sentence is extremely offensive to everyone who waves our flag without first subscribing to Christian beliefs.
I have refuted those quotes on many occasion, I can produce 5X the number of quotes that you can. Jefferson, Madison, Jay, Hamilton, JQ Adams, Washington etc. etc. all have volumes of quotes PRO christianity and how it is the basis of the US.
Hitler, by contrast has a ton of quotes that I have produced on this very board condemning christianity.
Stop picking and choosing bull crap to try and make a weak point.
....but 86% shouldn't have to comply with the 14%. The minority doesn't rule on issues in this country, or PETA would have banned hunting long ago...
Comply with the other 14%? We're just asking that you keep your religion private. Until God comes down here and establishes a theocracy on the foudnations of our nation, I think we can all get along just fine by worshipping in our own ways and not concerning ourselves with other people's religious beliefs.
Religious conviction doesn't come from some stone tablet in the Supreme Court. It comes from within your hearts.

what god? a christain god? jewish god? how 'bout allah? methodist? catholic? church of the bretheren? i'm a druid, and we never get much of a holler out of you trendy monotheists....
fact is, government isn't in the business of promoting any one religion. that, among other things, makes us a great country.
promotion of freedom to practice any faith-good. promotion of one faith at the expense of others-bad.
