Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Judge Says Calif. Can't Ban Gay Marriage

8 minutes ago U.S. National - AP

By LISA LEFF, Associated Press Writer

SAN FRANCISCO - A judge ruled Monday that California's ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional, saying the state could no longer justify limiting marriage to a man and a woman.

In the eagerly awaited opinion likely to be appealed to the state's highest court, San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Richard Kramer said that withholding marriage licenses from gays and lesbians is unconstitutional.

"It appears that no rational purpose exists for limiting marriage in this state to opposite-sex partners," Kramer wrote.

Now there's a shock!

Wait a minute--does the state need a "rational purpose"? I'm all for civil unions if the state wants it (i.e. voters elect representatives who support it), but different people have different reasons for supporting different legislation. What's rational to one minority could very well be total insanity to another, or the majority itself.

These minority losers are whining not because they're rational, but because the other people don't think they are!

Even with his huge propaganda apparatus, Hitler couldn't get all of Germany to love him. Sorry, folks, people think what they want of you, not what you want of them.

What I like is the fact that these loons in kookafornia actually try to cite it as "unconstitutional" -- HOW IS THAT?

It passed constitutional muster in 13 states in 2000. Mark my words, the next move is going to be to try and railroad it through all the other states with the stupid 14th Amendment arguement.

I was totally against amending the constitution in the past, but now i'm highly questioning my original assertion on the Amendment.

In the heat of the post I forgot to ask which part of California's constitution is irrational?
