Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

oh heck,
you guys are silly. If it was the code of hammurabi (sp), no one would have a problem with them---people only have a problem because the source of the commandments is the bible. It is still representative of the history of the rule of law---gimme a break

Only three are laws right? I don't have a problem with TC it's a good moral code. The buddhist basically had the same code before Moses came down from the mountain with them.

I think it is a States Rights issue what goes on State property, not a Federal issue.

I think they will rule that the Ten Commandments not allowed on any public property.

Further, I believe that most common law is derived from some of those 10 Commandments. Yet some of them may be offensive and inappropriate to impose on others by their presence in a government controlled or owned venue. Some will view it as the voice of the government. That is wrong. It does not effect me in that light but I can understand such beliefs.
I will have no problem with their decision either way.

If a State or local municipality wants to retain such monuments there are ways of doing it, such as selling the land where they stand to a private group. As long as it is done within the real-estate laws and building codes, Fine.

I think over time it will be ruled everywhere that something like that cannot be displayed - spiral, spiral, spiral, spiral, gurgle, gurgle, gurgle!

force the removal of the 10 commandments from courtrooms and municipal buildings around the nation?

Yes they will, because only 3 of the members of SCOTUS ever read the constitution.
