CNN Broadcasts the TROUBLE in WNY

Yesterday,CNN had a segment about how bad taxes have gotten in WNY and how people cannot afford to pay for the politicians and services anymore.I was wondering if anybody caught it and if so their thoughts.The report was slightly off base as it stated China was the cause of the problem.It is a part of it but the part not stated was the benefits of the county and city workers.We pay for their health and retirement benefits and now we can't afford it anymore.Any thoughts?

I've heard that excuse before too. One would think that with a shrinking tax base, ie: professional and manufacturing jobs going overseas, the prudent and logical thing to do would be to LOWER taxes.

We are running into a situation that is not unlike that in Germany and France. They're trying all kinds of nifty ways of having really low tax countries joining the EU to pony up more money to cover their own socialistic expenditures.

Well the county has no choice and is going to have to layoff about 2000 workers.It is about time the public got heard.
