So with this Jeff Gannon - MALE PROSTITUTE thing, I think it's pretty clear what is going on here. Someone pretty high up in the White House had used Mr. Gannon's ah em ....services. This is the only way this guy gets a Secret Service Clearance and access to the Whitehouse with them knowing he was using an alias. Trust me, I have just a basic clearance and it was pretty intensive. They KNEW who this guy was and he got privledges to keep quiet about someone enjoying his um company.
So, let's take a vote here. Who was Gannon's boy toy?
Ari Fleischer? Karl Rove? McClellan? Cheney? or do you think it was someone else.
I vote for Rove. He strikes me as one weird dude. What does everyone else think?
There is a lot of "Stuff" in various articles about this and while a couple of them seem interested in his sexual preferences, most are more concerned with his ties to an obscure news organization which is, by the way, how he gained access to the White House.
How he managed this using an assumed name remains to be seen, but I think access to the White House media center is a bit different than access to the White House proper. Roves' name appears in more than one article, so possibly you are correct in assuming he is the one that greased the skids, so to speak.
I am sure there are some differences in security clearances, but this guy was 20 feet from the President using a FAKE name!!! There damned well better be more intensive security clearances than that. No way, this Gannon was someone's personnal play thing and he got special privleges to keep quiet.
As I understand it the only place he used the fake name was as a byline for his articles. His Whitehouse credentials were issued in his actual name.
I think it is hilarious that the media jumped in his s..., for asking conservatively slanted questions, but it is perfectly ok for the wicked witch of the east (Helen whatsername) who doesn't have a daily column any more to ask liberally slanted questions.
If I was GW I'd kick about half of them out, and tell the rest they were on thin ice.

It's all true, i've actually seen some reprints of the "advertisements" that Gannon (pseudonym) had put up on the web for his "services".
I really am starting to wonder about this administration, Bush gets into office on a "moral" platform and then once firmly entrenched in his position he back tracks on almost all of his "moral" stances. Maybe georgie is a closet case?
Hmm...lets' see. Back in December Bernard Kerik withdrew his candidacy as Homeland Security Chief because a former employee had a "questionable immigration status." There's probably more to the story, but this is what was reported.
Now we have a reporter with connections to "Bush's Brain", representing a news organization (Talon News) of questionable "existance status", who aided & abetted behaviour of an "alternative nature" to gain access to the White House.
Where's the outrage?
