Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Hmmmmmmmmm

Interesting

If marriage isn't a State/Federal granted Right then how could they not allow multiple wives ? Wasn't the sodomy issue valid ?

Sodomy statutes were held invalid in 2003 by the Supreme Court in Lawrence v. Texas. I don't know what affect that will have on polygamy, but it could have some impact down the road.

You are exactly right, it will only be a matter of time before somebody challenges it on exactly those grounds. Could be an interesting couple of years.
Personally, I have enough problems one at a time

Just imagine you had two or three helpers, could you handle him then?

In todays society, it undoubtedly should be just as acceptable for a woman to have multiple husbands, we consider polygamy to be one man with multiple wives but why not the other way around as well. A level playing field so to speak

That decision in Texas could open a flood gate of societal changes in the future. Basically, it was decided that no one had the right to interfere between 2 consenting adults.

Eventually, someone is going to decide that he wants to copulate regularly with his consenting sister...or mother.
This case could certainly be used to test the constitutionality of incest laws.

Well he is damn lucky to have you Hik! It is dang hard to find a woman that hunts.

But the way I look at it, if two guys or gals can marry legally, then a guy should be able to have more than one wife. What the hell is the difference, actually more normal to have multiple wives than two guys getting married.

Let's see ...

I can have 6 wives , but the catch is that they will eventually fall into "biosynch" with each other so I'll still be SOL at least one week a month and have 6 women going through PMS at the same time .

What shall I choose ...
