Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Come on over to the Religion forum.

An old topic I posted about is being talked about again. When I posted the topic there was no religious forum and it was posted in Politics. I got many responses. The post needs more chatter from others......

Is that the one where they want to use the bible as a science text book?

No thanks. Non-christians aren't welcome there. That has been made abundantly clear in the past. They need to change the name from Religion Forum to Close Minded Christian Forum.

PLEASE... because I posted about being an atheist in a thread about religous preference I received an email from an idiot moderator named chad saying I am not welcome there.

I did not bash anyone on their beliefs, just figured it was another forum to hash things out.

Well I see they are like the peta group.Cram their ways down your throat and if you disagree with them, your out.
Doesn't sound like a situation in which any exchange of ideas can take place. Thats too bad because religion is an area where a lot can be learned from others about the differences out there.

The catch is that religious beliefs are the hardest thing to change in a person. People are more defensive about religion than anything, and many people can't stand to have their convictions challenged or their motives questioned. Some religions are more accepting than others, but I generally find protestant Christians to be the most closed minded of any. Considering myself a protestant Christian, that should say a lot.

North Texan,

You are so right about religion making people so volatile. Just look at the world today, how much of it is due to RELIGION! The middle east, Ireland, Israel...all in the name of relgion
