why is it that when male molesters go to prison they typically get killed by other inmates but you NEVER hear of a female getting whacked i prison for this.
I suppose a history of western patriachal civilization has some influence on this. Some people (i.e. feminazis) believe that women are merely victims of male culture. For people like that, there's no issue in taking advantage of the opposite sex, child or adult--women should rule. I don't know if this is all entirely true, but it seems fairly logical.
Aha, something else just popped into my mind--love. I'll bet a good number of people found their relationship to be romantic. Why punish a person for what her heart says, right?
Ah, who knows? When it comes to me, I wouldn't shed a tear for any child molester who gets it in prison. Children are at the mercy of adults, regardless of gender.
You could look at it as society kept two people apart for a decade because of a social stigma about older women and younger men. Their 2 daughters missed their mommy I'm sure and obviously so did the Daddy/boyfriend/husband
While I cannot imagine the attraction the woman had to a 13 year old, and the return affection, the truth is these two made it through 2 prison sentences, complete humiliation, socially spat on and 2 daughters.
Society blamed them, blamed her, punished them, punished her, made rules and decisions all based on what was best for them and in the end ? The no contact was lifted and two are riding off into the sunset.
I'm not condoning the actions of the woman, however nobody would have ever have guessed that after 10 years, 2 prison terms and 2 children that the boy/man would have stuck with her and vica versa, would they ? And if we had of known that 10 years ago, would it have changed anything ? Just a very interesting .......... series of events and outcome, isn't it ?

If by "endured" you mean "has committed various and sundry felonies" - then yes they have.
But in terms of time? Well, I"ve been with the old lady 30 years so far.
