That is a god like establishment. But they've gone down hill since they put the food service on the west end and got rid of the liquor store.

When they were going to close that place down me and about 50 of my buddies were going to have a vigil in the place on their closing night ... luckily they decided not to close.

I am proud to say I am only one of 2 people that were ever thrown out (actually asked to leave) from the NLB.

Best story there is when the guy at the bar dropped over dead from a heart attack and nobody moved a muscle - turns out it was the bartenders father. Good friend of mine used to own the dump about 100 feet away "joanne's" -- NOW THAT PLACE had some whack jobs in there that far outshined the NLB.

When I am inducted as a beer church minister we'll celebrate at my buddy's bar: Mortimers.
