Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Why don't the Dems

just jump in front of a truck and get it over with. DEAN?

Howard Dean emerged Tuesday as the almost assured new leader of the Democratic National Committee, as one of his main rivals quit the race and Democrats streamed to announce their support of a man whose presidential campaign collapsed one year ago.

it seems as if many conservatives won't be happy until the only people in the country are people who agree with them.

it's not reality.

we liberals/democrats are not going anywhere, just as you conservatives/republicans are not going anywhere. the country belongs to all of us.

Why would you care if you think they are choosing a loser?

I want McCain to go independant.

First thing I'm an Independent.

Second, Why not put someone in charge that might actually help someone get elected. You think someone like Dean will help you get one vote in the South?

though Dean's candidacy was unsuccesful in the end, he was able to accomplish something.

will he turn out to be a benefit to the party? that remains to be seen.

but honestly, i really don't care who chairs the party.

Bush was very vunerable going into the election..The Dems nominate the most liberal member of the senate and he gets sent packing. Why? This country isn't that liberal. So what do te DEms do put another major liberal in charge of the party that couldn't get the nomination last year.

For the record, I think Howard Dean is a great choice. He can raise a boat load of money, and he's energetic. He's fiscally conservative, a trait the Dem's should strive for (and seem somewhat willing to do), and he's socially liberal, a trait the Dem's will never change.

The "help you" phrase, is that directed towards me or true democrats?

I prefer to be labeled Indy even though I do sound Demi. I would vote middle ground in a heart beat if they found a worthy candidate.
