Both have previously said that the country was not pacified enough to hold elections and wanted to push the elections off till an unspecified date. kennedy has also been extremely critical about everything Bush has done or is doing in Iraq yet has not offered any alternatives other than demand we withdraw 12,000 troops from Iraq immediately. Kennedy has not explained why this would be helpful or is wise, especially since most of the demos were criticizing the Bush administration about 4-6 months ago for sending too few troops to do the job and properly "win the peace."
