Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default What kind of K.E. do you need to take down a chopper?

Tue Jan 4, 2:41 PM ET
AP

In this photo released by the Indian Coast Guard, a Sentinel tribal man aims with his bow and arrow at an Indian Coast Guard helicopter as it flies over their island for survey in Indias Andaman and Nicobar archipelago, Tuesday, Dec, 28, 2004. From circumstantial evidence, officials say fate and the ancient knowledge of secret signals in the wind and sea have combined to save the five indigenous tribes living for centuries in the southern archipelago of Andaman and Nicobar from the catastrophic tsunami that lashed Asian coastlines last week. But the fate of the tribes _ on the verge of extinction _ will be known with certainty only after officials complete a survey of their remote islands beginning Wednesday. I saw that on the news. Not to much energy if you can stip/ take out the tail rotor?
But i think they should upgrade to fiberglass, steel or carbon arrows for more effectivness.

Reminds me of a thing that happented on a indian reservation in Ny state awhile back - after coming in& giving medical care when asked too by the ppl- someone shot a few rounds/ bullets into the natinal guard chopper as it was leaving.[&:]

They cant do that if there flying a red cross, giving aide.

Its aginst the geneva conventions rules that we arm such choppers - even though out current enemys have no problem shooting them down or anything with a red cross on it , just makes a easyier target to target by sight - & it is a unarmed target that cant shoot back.

I do not know about any other situations but in this one particular- I think that guy's defiance and willingness to attempt to (defend himself?) against an obviously much superior unknown is admirable. nice to know there are people in the world who are still living such a primitive lifestyle in this era of speed and information

Or incredibly stupid.
Were those indivduals that stormed the beaches and scaled the cliffs on D-Day "incredibly stupid"? If so, thank God for the incredibly stupid, our greatest generation.

Anyone who runs is a VC. Anyone who stands still is a well-disciplined VC, haha!

Get some, baby! Maybe this guy was just hungry for the taste of giant metal bird. I think it's unwise to initiate fire against an unknown, but then again I don't live in the middle of a thirld world jungle.
