What's the old saying? Give them enough rope and they'll hang themselves. It won't be long.

I've been a member of the "Get the US out of the UN and vice-versa" crowd for some time now, but I'm beginning to have some doubts. Right now, I'd say that distancing ourselves from this corrupt, self-serving, militarily-impotent organization can bring nothing but good for us, and furthermore, the world.
However, it might be wiser to dominate the UN from the inside, rather than boycotting it all together. I don't know if that is feasible at this point or sometime in the near future, but I think the idea is worth exploring. Do any of you believe that we could take back the UN? Are we able to stop all of the petty thirld-world-nations' whining and start reasserting ourselves on the international stage? I really don't know, and I'd like to hear from the rest of you out there.
