RE: new Challenges for Wildlife Managment
Beavers, woodchucks and other species cause millions of dollars in damage each year to roads, bridges, dams, water drainage systems and electrical utilities. Expenditures to address beaver damage over the past five years have increased by 12 percent. Wildlife agencies report that without regulated trapping, beaver populations could increase an additional 102 percent.
Ppl need to wear more beaver hats. and the tails are suppose to be top eating.
But yep have seen quite a few roads underwater/damaged & trees looking like a dozer went threw because of beavers not being controled. The saying busy as a beaver fits them well.
