Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Environuts torching houses?

Ecoterrorism Suspected in Md. House Fires

It wouldn't be the first time or the last, for that matter. Although the FBI is keeping its mouths closed pretty tightly, I heard on the local news that graffiti containing racial slurs was also discovered around the scene (not sure if that report was just hearsay, though). Still, the ecoterrorism connection seems to be at the forefront of the investigation. I dislike luxury developments built in the country just as much as the next guy, but only a nutjob would trash it all in such a selfish and violent fit of anger.

Had one here last year that made national news. He burned 7 new million dollar homes cause they were getting up where he rode his mountain bike. Guy was married with kids and is now a receiver in prison. These nuts just cant burn just once. They will do it again and get nailed.

I can't believe what these people are doing either!! I agree, it just doesn't make a lot of sense to try and protect the environment, but send thousands of pounds of toxic particles into the air. May I add wackos, freaks, and several other words which would be inappropriate here!!![:@][:@][:@]

While I do not advocate the bombing of abortion clinics, I have no problem with it so long as nobody is killed.

As many say, this is not the first time these individuals or their like minded friends have done this type of thing.
There were the Hummers on the west coast, the ski lodge in Co, a mink farm and processing center in Wi and many others.

The thing is they don't continue the reports in the press once the ashes cool. If it is not a great picture it is written off as "no person was hurt or killed, the insurance will cover it" type thinking.

These people may be "wackos" but they are determined and know no limits in their efforts. This will continue until someone is killed and the press fires up the public.

VC....About the abortion clinics....This was posted by one of our members within the last 2 weeks or so, and no one had a problem with it at all. I don't believe that just because there were not an onslaught of post rebutting it, it was OK'd. I think that it, at least by me, was dismissed as an opinion and all the debate in the world would not change it.

The world is full of lost people, from house burners, to abortion clinic bombers. Godlessness, is Godlessness, regardless of what their politics are.

One of the great ironies about radical environmentalist, is that they have done more damage to the environmental movement than good. The spotted owl controversy, heralded at the time as a great environmental victory, proved to be the turning point for environmental politics. The publicity generated backfired and polarized the environmental community. The spotted owl quickly became the primary issue in the rebutting of radical environmentalist. Groups like Earth First!, alf etc, have had a negative impact on the environmental movement as a whole.
