Default Statistical question. How do you keep your guns?

Loaded/unloaded in a locked/unlocked safe or cabinet or somehere else in the house?

All but 1 unloaded. All but 1 in a safe. I'd tell ya where the "other" one is but that would ruin the element of suprise should someone mistakingly walk into this house.

Most of the time, mine are just in the corner of the bedroom. I keep the magazines full, but the chambers empty. Except when a pesky armadillo has made a few nightly digs in the yard. Then I keep one loaded by the front door next to the spotlight.

I wish I had a gun safe, but I don't. I keep all but the 12 guage unloaded. The shotgun is leaning against the chest by my side of the bed with 4 #4 buckshot in the magazine. If the sound of me chambering the shell don't scare off the intruder, I know he means business, and I had better.

I keep them all unloaded in a gun "locker." I would call it a safe, but it's really not. It's the "Stack-On" unit that sells for around $90. Good eough to keep curious kids out, but probably not thieves. It is bolted to the wall studs though, so a thief would have to cut it/ smash it apart.

My guns are either in my hand, behind the seat of my truck or in a converted wardrobe in the basement. Guns are never loaded unless in my hand and all others have trigger locks on.

All are unloaded and in locked gun safes. All ammo is also locked in a secure location.
No children at home anymore. I do it in the case my home is burglarized.
