There likely won't be much of a difference except I will feel a lot better personally. Arafts' death is about 40 years too late to do any good.
OBL hasn't been around nearly as long so possibly his demise would be somewhat more significant, especially if his personal finances would no longer be available to support his hirelings. It's kind of like killing a snake, you have to cut the head off to render it harmless, but you still have to be careful of the head for awhile and the body writhing around with no intelligence can scare the crap out of you.

The liberal media will praise him as being a revolutionary who did a lot for his people. 9/11 will be mentioned by them, but only as a bullet on his long resume. They won't have the balls to say anything bad about him. Some scum ball lawyers will defend him in a fair trial if he is captured alive.
