Depends. A new leader will emerge from somewhere. If he truely wants peace, I would say better. The scary thing is what if the new leader is a radical? Then we have big problems. The leader might be more open on endorsing terrorism and the like. All anyone can do now is sit, wait, and pray. I'm sure the Palestenians are very nervous and right now. They are now a people without a country or a leader. They have a lot of uncertainty to worry about.

If I remember correctly, the last, serious negotiations for peace were going well, and every Palestinian leader supported it, except Arafat, and the effort collapsed.

Depeding on who the next leader is, things could get better. Of course with the history, and the deep hatred in the region, we can't expect great things for generations.
