I thought I would write a post on our current dilema here in Britain. A few of you may know that our Labour government recently (15th September) passed a bill to ban hunting with dogs in Britain. However they bill must still pass through the House of Lords but if they oppose it Labour proposes to use the 'Parliment Act' to bypass the House of Lords.
To put it briefly this would prevent any use of terriers for flushing vermin such as foxes from their earths, hunting foxes and deer with packs of hounds and coursing rabbits etc.
We are having to fight hard to get our message across to the arrogant member of the public and MPs but the government has proposed putting up CCTV cameras in the countryside to catch hunt members commiting offences. At present I believe roughly 50,000 peoplehave signed a declaration stating that they would continue to hunt even when the ban is passed.
A full version of the bill can be found at
http://www.publications.parliament.u...03010.i-v.html.
I would be extremely interested to hear any comments that you may have on this subject.
Thanks,
Mike
