Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Unions Suffering From Post-Election Stress Syndrome

Unions Confront Postelection Reality

Quote:
Before election day, AFL-CIO President John J. Sweeney called the prospect of a second term for President Bush "too horrible to think about." Today, he and other shellshocked labor leaders will have no choice.
Let me cry you a tear, you frickin' socialists.

How would John Kerry have made their lives better? I'm not sure I understand the unions undying loyalty to the Democrats.

Union members need to start reevaluating their leaders. Since the union leaders are continually picking the wrong candidates to back, they are not being as effective for their membership as they should. This translates into less benefits for their members and is wasting the members money and time. Unions have a place and do some good things for their members but these clowns are complete lops at politics. Backing losers is a complete disservice to your members.

Lol, that's the safest bet! My wife is (involuntarily) in the CWA, and she is the farthest thing from the kind of libs they endorse (well, not really, but far enough). Unions and their politicians are good for one thing, IMHO: helping to run businesses under while helping themselves, not their members.

I, too, am forced to be a union member.

The upper crust of the union is so far removed from the wants and needs of the rank and file. All the big shots care about is making sure the unions stay around so they can collect their big fat pay checks paid for by the people they are supposed to represent. Can you tell I am a little bitter? Just a little though...[8D]
