Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Dixie Chunks?

I saw the Dixie Chunks spouting off about how they were touring with Springstien and helping to defeat GW. Natalie Maines was spouting her same old crap. As a fan of country music I will never buy or listen to another one of that porker's songs. I haven't heard a word since the election was over. Think they are moving out of the USA with Robert Redford, Al Sharptongue and the rest of the liberals?

Don't blame the two very talented women who ARE the Dixie Chicks. Their music is unbelievable, Natalie is (unfortunately) the centerpiece and the vocals that everyone associates with the Chicks.

But yeah, me too. I'll never buy another Chicks CD with maines as the lead singer

Stealthy:

You are right that they are amazing. I used to listen. My wife used to buy their CDs. But they are all in the same boat as far as I'm concerned. They either have zero power to stop Maines from running her mouth or they think exactly the same way. But, to their credit, despite their beliefs, I don't hear them running down the president or the country. Still, the crowd you run with says a lot about who you are.

I think we have a classic example of what can happen when you mix a perfectly good career with politics. I think their stock has plummeted some since the "announcement" in England.
From what I have read, most of those who gave time and effort in support of Kerry are now thinking they might have hurt him instead of helped him.
Can you imagine such a thing!

A lot of people liked their music. I never could stand them. They ranked right up there with chinese water torture in my book. Even the Rebel, my radio station that is supposedly classic country, played them all the time. I think it was because one of them lived here in Lubbock or something. Then after the little "oops", I haven't heard another song from them on the Rebel. Now their back to John Conlee, George Strait, Mel Tillis, Merle Haggard, and eveyone else that belongs on the radio.
