Here's a few exerpts from a News article:

August and September nonfarm payrolls were revised up by 113,000 for a total of 337,000 jobs. That helped bring the three-month average to 225,000 jobs.

So, we have gained an average of 225,000 jobs per month for the pat 3 months...

Jobs are still down 424,000 since President Bush (news - web sites) took office at the start of 2001, excluding an estimated upward revision of 236,000 jobs. But they've surged 2.23 million since August 2003.

So Bush is in the red on jobs by 424,000. But if the recent trend of 225,000 continues for November and December, then that increase of 550,000 jobs means a net gain of 126,000 jobs under the Bush administration.
If that holds, then Kerry's claim that Bush is the first president since Truman to loose jobs is incorrect, or as democrats call it, a lie!
