Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Why are the DEMOCRATS so sore about DEMOCRACY?

The thought just occured to me with all the sour grapes posts I've seen pop up here in the last couple days since Bush was re-elected...

Why are the so-called Democrats so ticked off when it was DEMOCRACY that clearly put Bush back in the White House for a second term?

Quote:
de·moc·ra·cy ( P ) Pronunciation Key (d-mkr-s)
n. pl. de·moc·ra·cies
1. Government by the people, exercised either directly or through elected representatives.
2. A political or social unit that has such a government.
3. The common people, considered as the primary source of political power.
4. Majority rule.
5. The principles of social equality and respect for the individual within a community.
Quote:
dem·o·crat ( P ) Pronunciation Key (dm-krt)
n.
1. An advocate of democracy.
2. Democrat A member of the Democratic Party.
So let's see...Bush won a clear majority of the popular vote (you know, the one that Democrats think is THE holy grail of political mandate) with 51% of the popular vote vs. Kerry's 48%. In other words, he won by a clear 3.5 MILLION popular votes. On top of that, he also won the Electoral College majority as well. Meaning that Bush is the first president elected with a popular majority since George H.W. Bush was elected in 1988.

Why can't the liberal so-called democrats accept that George Bush, a democratically elected president, is the will of the people of the United States of America?

Time to just suck-it-up ladies...or you could move to your beloved France. I've heard they have a GREAT economy there...ONLY 10% unemployment, tax rates that make ours look like a pittance by comparison, a well established welfare state with a wonderful socialist government run healthcare system (hence the low 10% unemployment rate). I'd suggest that if you don't like our democratically elected government, you should take your bigger than usual tax refund (thanks to President Bush and the Republican congress) and buy a plane ticket to whatever socialist "paradise" trips your trigger. Meanwhile I'll happily stay right here in the "Land of the (economically) Free, and the Home of the Brave!"

Whiners.

Because they are socialist

They took over the party in the 70's and 80's when they came of age from the 60's.

They hate this country.

I am in total agreement with all of the above!
I guess the only time that democracy works is when its in their favor!
There is a place where all of the socialists will be welcomed, France!

Bingo! No need to over-analyze the Democratic Party--they are simply putting an American face on European-style socialism. End of story. I sincerely wish them the best of luck removing those ultra-leftists from the main body of the party.

DING! We have a winner.... Actually all these posts are winners! I couldn't agree more.

The elite, socialist, liberal, democraps, got their a$$es handed to them on a platter. It is in NO WAY popular with the heart of America, and finally, America stood strong and spoke out.

The elite, socialist, liberal, democraps, are most likely sitting around still stunned and wondering where they went wrong. It is only a matter of time before they turn on themselves and kick out the ones who are so far left, they are off the charts. Then they might be able to rebound and recover to be what they used to be.
