How can a man that won all these medals and fought for 4 long arduos months in Vietnam get a less then honorable discharge?

1.) Medals acheived by submitting fraudulent reports.
2.) Accusing fellow soldiers of being baby killers and rapists.
3.) Admitting that he, himself, committed atrocities.
4.) Giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war while serving as a US officer
5.) Meeting in Paris to negotiate the terms of US's loss to the commies.
There's five. I've also heard that he wasn't the best officer out there anyway. Nobody wanted to serve duty with him and he needed constant supervision. I suppose having a video camera in your hands instead of an M16 made him more of a liability than an asset, too.
