Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Some but not all humane organizations are affiliated with the HSUS. Some local societies do a good job of helping to find homes for and care for animals that have been abandoned or hurt, others (like one we have locally) aren't worth a flip. Check with the organization, call them and ask a few pointed questions as to what their goals are and how they operate then make up your mind.

Mixed bag.the one I got some animals from the people there hunt. Infact one day I stopped to give them a pic of the cat I got from them to show how fat it got.I had a deer mount in the car and they commented how nice it was.

I'm not sure, either. You'd have to check into each organization. I know one thing, if there was a nice dog in there and I wanted to save him and give him a good home, I would probably not think too much about this question. I believe in helping out the pooches (and to a lesser extent cats). I won't donate any money to a group unless I know they're not antis, but I would give someone a few bucks to save a cool dog.

I believe the "Humane Society" -- for example, the Humane Society of Utah, the Humane Society of Missouri, the Humane Society of Atlanta, etc. -- is an organization that is directed to providing homes for pets whose owners, for whatever reason, can no longer care for them.

The Humane Society of the United States is an entirely different organization which is strongly anti-hunting.

Others may be able to provide more details.
