If your 18 month old is not sleeping, pass the bong?
I think this is one of the worst stories I have ever heard. I have read about kids accidently getting ahold of parents drugs, but having (forcing) your 18 month old to smoke pot because it isn't eating or sleeping enough? I hope they throw the book at this lady.

BILLINGS, Mont. - A woman is accused of letting her 18-month-old daughter smoke marijuana because the toddler was not eating or sleeping enough.
Jessica Durham pleaded innocent in U.S. District Court in Billings. After a one-day trial, the judge said he would consider written arguments and rule later.
According to court documents, a friend of the defendant took photos of the toddler smoking a bong pipe. The friend testified that Durham told her she let her daughter smoke marijuana because the girl wasn't eating or sleeping enough.

On a side note, although I usually respect this newspaper, naming the web page (look at the end of the link) "toking-todler" isn't the best of choices in my opinion.
I feel the same way about women who do drugs while pregnant. I hear the gripe,"its my body, its my choice". Give me a freaken break.[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@] I guess that means, "Its my body, so I chose to have a crack adicted, deformed, mentaly retarded child". Agian give me a freaken break[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:'(]

Come on, guys. Drugs never hurt anyone.
Yeah, yeah, very funny. Mentally competent adults choosing to drug themselves is one thing, but infants who can neither understand nor refuse? Unacceptable.

Oh, that's right. In a country where drugs are legal, this sort of thing would never happen. Remember, legalisation solve oll the drug problems.

Like I've said before: punish people for what they do to others, not what they do to themselves. I believe a helpless baby would fall under the 'others' category.

people with this type of mentality really need to be served a big dose of reality [:@] of course this would also include a nice long jail sentence and of course before being released a court ordered sterilization [:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]

It brings to mind my step 96 yr old grama& her folk /home remidies etc.
No pot as the main ingredient - cures/treatments..... that i know of. But plenty of others for babys/toddlers that could contain paragoric(opium) or wiskey etc.
Pot could have been safer then some of those lol
Intillthe 60,s codiene( another optiate) was use in most cough medici
Alocoholstill is in a lot of it.(non childrens only i hope)
Asprin was usedfor everything& everyone. That was before it was thought to cause ryes(sp?) syndrome in children who take it
during a viral infection. Ryes a nurological /brain injury( also deafness etc)
That was before things like ibprophain*&acidapiniphian(& other drugs i cant spell[&:]- that replaced asprin for children -The new ones over the counter also
they can be & have killed & destroyed childrens(and adults) livers
s& kidneys because of dosage problems etc etc- in the past. And still dangerious.
- They now come in quick dessolve tabs you place in your kids mouths when sick& liquids etc also& come in flavors like watermelon /grape& cherry. Over the counter/no dr,s /drug dealers
needed
Shouldnt all dangerious childrens meds taste like candy?[&:]
Or peach snapps?
She would use coal oil/kerosene as a hair lice treatment( unlighted) & wild onion neck wraps.
