Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default The only reason the Vote will be close in Florida

Hi everyone. I've watched your forum for a while, but thought I'd become a member to give you some perspective on the Florida vote.

Please understand that the only reason the vote will be close in Florida is because of 3 heavily populated counties on the SE coast (Dade, Broward & Palm Beach). Remember, those were the counties Al Gore wanted to recount because there are so many liberal democrat transplants here.

Florida is essentially no longer a "southern" state. We have many (too many) people move here from New York City & Massachusetts. These groups of liberals move to the east coast of Florida while on the west coast we have retirees from the mid-west who vote more conservatively.

Without Dade, Broward & Palm Beach counties, the vote in Florida would be approximately 70% for George Bush. Our Florida fishing & hunting forums reflect the majority of the State. Please help swing your states to the win column for George Bush. Don't look to Florida as a "Battleground." George doesn't have to worry about 90% of Florida Real Estate as he knows they will vote for him. It's just these darn transplants from New York City and Boston screwing up our conservative demographics in heavily populated Dade - Miami, Broward - Fort Lauderdale & Palm Beach.

Thank you. Best regards folks!

Welcome to the board, we have a similar problem here in Va., the state will wind up in the win column for Bush, but we have a ton of folks in No. Va. that are government employee liberals from every liberal bastion in the country, the good thing so far is that the rest of the state still out numbers the liberals in No. Va., I pray it stays that way. I also hope that enough of the good Southern folks down your way get out to vote to beat the liberals!

In Maryland, 21 out of 23 counties will likely vote for President Bush (my county is overwhelmingly for Bush). The sad part is that the liberals in 2 counties (PG and Montgomery) plus Baltimore City will manufacture enough votes (fraudulent and otherwise) to tip the scale for the liberal senator.

Thanks for the welcome. Florida has been the recipient of over $6 million dollars in compaign advertising. It's difficult watching the TV with everyone bashing everyone. Good luck to us all!

Same problem here in WA... Basically Seattle and the surrounding area (the bulk of the population -mostly transplanted from CA) decide for the whole state. If you look at a red/blue map of WA, the entire state except that area is Bush supporters. I don't know about other states, but I know here Eastern WA feels really disenfranchised because they are not really represented, even on the state level.
