Jimmy Carter: American Revolution Was 'Unnecessary'

Recently we described Jimmy Carter as the worst president of the past 100 years. We apologize.

He's the worst president ever.

In trying to compare the American Revolution to the war in Iraq, here's what the jug-headed Georgian said to fellow Democrat Chris Matthews on "Hardball" Monday night, according to MSNBC's own transcript:

Well, one parallel is that the Revolutionary War, more than any other war up until recently, has been the most bloody war we've fought. I think another parallel is that in some ways the Revolutionary War could have been avoided. It was an unnecessary war.
Had the British Parliament been a little more sensitive to the colonials' really legitimate complaints and requests the war could have been avoided completely, and of course now we would have been a free country now as is Canada and India and Australia, having gotten our independence in a nonviolent way.

I think in many ways the British were very misled in going to war against America and in trying to enforce their will on people who were quite different from them at the time.

Does the catastrophic ex-prez really think the war in Iraq is bloodier than the Vietnam War, the Korean War, World War II, World War I, the Civil War ...?

Note to Jimmy: Canada did not begin to gain independence until 1867. Australia did not receive partial independence as a commonwealth until 1901. India did not gain independence until 1947, and all the Indians who were killed by the British would hardly describe their deaths as "nonviolent."

I believe his statements elevate the ex-president to the title of 'Most Ignorant and Simple-minded National Figure'. What a frickin' moron.

I'm sure Kerry is taking plenty of detailed notes from Carter. I'd bet he has already formulated a plan to allow our sworn enemies the opportunity to be more sensitive to our complaints that they slaughter our civilians and also to our requests that they respect the Freedom and Liberty of the American people.

Another note to Mr. Peanut:

Although technically independant , both Canada and Australia still recognize Britain as their sovreign as evidenced by the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on their money . Act like you have a clue Jimmy ...

The people of 19th and 20th century India could easily attest that Great Britain has never exactly been parochial toward any of their colonies , and in fact viewed them as a resource to be plundered .[:@]

Citizens of the American colonies were barely considered subjects of the British Crown since most of them were British outcasts or convicted criminals . (Why do you think the Aussies are the only country that likes us? They started out exactly the same way , just ask Ausie-guy . ) [&:]

Different from them ? We were them dipstick ! Why do you think most cities in New England have the same names as British cities ?

Historians rate our Civil war as the bloodiest since by and large only Americans were killed during it .

How did such a moronic idiot ever get to the White House in the first place ? [&o]

I'm still fuming, and I just can't let it go. The Liberals are just insane! Here they are using every dollar they can to deceive the public into supporting such a p*ss-poor socialist candidate for President, and now this senile old man is attempting to rewrite history to favor a Liberalistic approach.

I remember an episode of the 'X-Presidents' on SNL in which Reagan berates Carter for some stupid suggestion.

Carter: But I won the Nobel Peace Prize!!!

Reagan: They should call it the 'No Balls Peace Prize'.

That right there, although given in a humorous tone, pretty much sums up Mr. Peanut.

People voted for him because they were the same type of voter we are talking about now with Kerry. They dont know History and they believe what they hear. its sad. And its down right crazy that this joker is even running for pres.

If he wins he will be the first American President who is a commie war hero. His photo is hanging in the Viet Nam National Commie Musem as a national hero. The north viet nam army commander said in the 1980s that they owe their vicitor over the Americans to him. This is all known and published but yet people want him to lead our nation into the ground.

Exactly right...

He was President because our nation, now more then ever, is becoming more and more full of idiots everyday.

I'm ashamed to be part of the generation that I am apart of...but luckily, I wasn't alive live during Carter's Presidency, although...I kinda am, since he still thinks he is President...

Bring back Reagan...

Yeah and having 52 hostages sitting in an Iranian prison for more then a year that was OK. Thank God Gore never won , otherwise we would have had a nuclear scientist and the inventor of the Internet as presidents who don't have the common sense to come in from the rain.

Popere, the speech patterns, the accent, the slowness of movement and response where thought is required. Not all or the best traits of the finer folks of the south but the ones that stand out when you see him.

That is not a knock on southerns, he's not the norm as I said.
