Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

Default Flu Shot Circus

I just cant believe in a country like ours we cant even assure proper amounts of flu shots to protect the high risk people. Thats what we get for trusting another country to do what we should be doing.

In Ontario, Canada the flu shot is free to all residents. High risk people are incouraged to get thier shot first.

Best Wishes

That has my jaws torqued down a bit too, cardeer, why must we depend on another country to get our Flu vaccines or anything else? I could understand if we didn't have the ability to produce it ourselves, but we do. This is nonsense.

Canwoodsman, take a look at your paystub and the amount of tax deducted from it, then say again that it is free, besides that is it any more available there than it is here? If you are depending on that same lab in the UK to provide it, I don't think so.

Say thanks to the last adminstration, Clinton told the makers of the flu vaccine they could only charge so much for them , so they either went out of business or quit making the shots because there was not a profit in it.

Yep, thanks to Hillary Care, they put caps on profits for all vaccines. That and lawyers have run them out of the country. Its not just flu vaccine, but all vaccines are no longer made in this country because of the risk of lawsuit as fact no one will make them for free or at a loss. If the odds are one in 50 million will have a side effect the lawyers start licking their chops. Good ole socialist driving our nation into the ground.

And as for the Canook getting free shots, you need to look at your take home pay after tax. What"™s next in good ole Canada, bread lines and free vodka?

And this is just a drop in the bucket to what it will be when we have the government providing healthcare to all.

My wife and granddaughter for two, because they already suffer from chronic asthma and asthmatic bornchitis. If they were to get the flu virus as well, it could be life threatening. Older people and young children should receive the vaccine and anybody with a respiratory disease or a history of respiratory infections. During WWI, the flu pandemic killed more people world wide in one season than died due to the war, some 35 million people died because of it although you don't read much about it. There has been an increased concern over the past 5-10 years that the particular strain that caused that pandemic could resurface and would, due to the increased world population, kill possibly hundreds of millions. Not a pleasant thought.

Not to sound cold blooded Coastie ,
but with a population of over 6 billion and rising the world could use a good pandemic or two . Such occurances are always hardest on the less developed countries , ironically they're the ones who need it most .

I'm NOT going to give my children flu shots ( 5 years and 3 years old). Why ? They are healthy and do not need it. I challenge anyone to prove that flu shots are needed.

Then they already have prescritptions for flu shots and don't reply on the Govt to provide them, correct ??

Again I ask, who are all these millions that NEED flu shots ?
