Politics Nothing goes with politics quite like crying and complaining, and we're a perfect example of that.

So what did you guys think? Kerry said he was a hunter, don't think I would be withing a mile from him with a gun in his hands. I think he just threw that in there to get people like us on his side. I don't buy it, he has probably been on a few funded quail hunts, where they planted the birds before the hunt, and calls himself a hunter. Bush is by far the better leader but not better in debate. I think it will be close, lets pray Bush wins. Post your opinions.

I think Bush won this one, looking better than the last, in which he was better than the first. However, he should have pointed out the specifics of the "assault weapon ban" and how it encompasses hunting rifles and can be construed to include a great many other guns. Remember, we have activist liberal judges running rampant now who would love nothing better than to outlaw all of these other guns.

Bush also should have mentioned that we lost 1.5 million jobs within 90 days of 9/11, and it is estimated that the total impact of the attacks is about $2 trillion on the economy. Kerry doesn't count the attack when trying to smear the President's record on jobs and the deficit.

All in all, Bush won, and I suspect his lead will grow between now and election day, when he is once again voted into office.

You know the SOB is quite a sleaze ball. He took the opportunity to bring Dick Cheney's daughter into the gay issue, he couldn't say anything good about himself concerning the faith issue so he used it to try to condemn the President on other issues, he said he wouldn't mess with the 2nd Amendment and then told how he would work to make sure he got guns off the street (and we know what that meant) and in the end he struggled like hell to find something decent to say about his wife.
Now, say what you will but politics will always be politics but what a man is a man is. To me and to anyone else interested in knowing anything about the man, there is nothing that defines him. He has no values, no faith, no convictions and cannot express compassion.
He has said it all!! The defense rests!

President Bush won this debate. He had Kerry on the defensive throughout the debate. He might not be able to express himself in as polished a manner as Kerry, but despite that shortcoming he painted Kerry into corners from which he couldn't extricate himself.

Kerry made one major blunder that is going to cost him the election. When he invoked the name of VP Cheney's daughter as a lesbian, he endeared himself with the gays, but it will cost him with the independents who are anti-gay marriage. And after he invoked her name, even though he said he opposed gay marriage he wanted gay couples to have all of the rights of traditional married couples.

He wanted to invoke the Bible as often as he could, but unfortunately, he hasn't read all of the story. God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of the rampant homosexuality in those two cities. He made it very clear where He, God, stands on the issue.

Hear hear!!! [8D] Yeah man, oh yeah, oh yeah!!!! Ol' Ketchuphead got his a$$ kicked tonight! Bush FINALLY took off the gloves and slammed "Lurch" around the room. To those who missed it - it was great!

Let's just hope it's enough to really show people who and what Kerry is all about!

8x8,

I think there was a very valid reason for why the President MAY have stumbled initially, although I didn't see it that way. Tell me what the Moderator, Bob Schieffer did that was wrong.

Answer: The debate was supposed to be on domestic issues. At least 5 or 6 of the questions dealt with foreign policy, including the very first one to Kerry about Iraq!!! It looked to me as though Kerry was prepared to answer a question about Iraq, even though he didn't know what the questions were before hand, RIGHT, and the debate was on domestic issues!!!

I believe Kerry when he says he won't try to take guns away from law abiding people. At least through traditional legislative means. It would be better for him and his trial lawyer friends if he just made it easier for the industry to be sued. Not only would he get what he wants which is the gun industry being away, but his trial lawyer bussies will make a ton of money, Think about it. The Tial Lawyer lobby is one of the largest donators to Democrats.

I didn't get the impression that Bush stumbled during the first 20 minutes. I think he started off well and got better throughout the debate. I think he finally won one of the debates and now truly has Kerry on the defensive. I noted that Kerry seemed a lot more spent or not up for the debate whereas Bush had much more polish, style and substance. Kerry needed a knockout punch and some new lines for this debate but he had neither. I think Kerry's campaign has peaked and he will slide downhill from hereon.
