If someone were planning to attack US schools and kill children they could easily do so , especially in light of the fact that we so generously provide them the info to do it . This is the same type of folks who troll the internet for info about infrastructure with the intent of disrupting service on a large scale . You just can't stop people like that . You can find the info on how to build a nuclear device on the internet too , but that doesn't mean you can find what you need to do it .

In light of what happened in Russia this is or should be of great concern to all American. It goes beyond speculation that this is yet another part of terrorist trianing or planning, killing our innocent children. Melcom X, (muslim), "by any mean necessary"

Two other things about this discovery; One, knowing who accesses information, regardless if it is the library or internet, is very import and necessary to our security whether it is abroad or at home, ie: the Patriot Act.
Two, this can not be a real story since there were no terrorist in Iraq until we went there to over throw that nice old man Saddam.

While I despise terrorists I also have no desire to live in a repressive police(no offense Logs) state either .

In my five years in the third most violent city in arkansas i saw about 5! but since they were dead it was hard to prove the real case was a domestic dispute. one murder /suicide was determined that the husband was just set on that happening. it was like a family tradition. you see his parents had committed suicide he just took his wife and son with him.

Well the first thing i can think of when i read this is "you can't have your cake and eat it too!"
While i haven't read or heard any horror stories of the patriot act being abused i am sure the risk is there. but it was there before this act ...abuse of powers that is . i assume that is what you fear from the patriot act?

Just like the terrorists from 9/11 the gov't had info that they were planning something. now if that repressive police force had acted 9/11 might not have happened.

Schools everywhere are vulnerable and if any law enforcement agency gets information of any person or persons planning anything against a school they need to snatch them up for anything they can think of. i think zero tolerance is most definitely needed in regard to this!

I see freedom differently than some others. We are all born free regardless of when and where that may take place. It is what man or government does after that, that either enhances our freedom, restricts or removes it.
Since the libraries are run and operated by the governmant they are a benefit. You are free to read what is provided there for you and they have for years keep records of what you read. It is simply easier to do and access now in the day and age of electronic record keeping. Only now are they utilizing their records.

I do not see myself scarificing any "liberties" in anyway. I see the definition of liberty and what freedom is diferently that you and some others. History will determine who is correct.

Example of freedom...In WI, motor vehicle registration is a public record that can be obtained through the library or MVD. You make a maneuver in traffic and some goof thinks you cut him off. He goes to the library or elsewhere, runs your plate and finds out where you live and comes to your house and shoots you dead. No one sees this and there is no phyisical evidence other that the slug in your now lifeless body. A good LEO starts his investigation and checks out all possible inquires into your personal life and personal information by others. WI DOT/MVD indicates that an inquiry was made through a library computer. Billy Joel Kerry ran a check on you. Now they check to see if this Kerry guy had a gun of the same caliber of the one that shot you. More intursions into Billy Joel Kerrys freedom I guess.
Well in the end, Kerry is captured and sent to summer camp (he is johns illegitimate son with edwards cubby wife). The thing is, all these inquiries by the LEO are or were the normal course of action long before the PA and very much legal. I just see things coming back into balance. The pendulum is swinging the other way right now (since the fall back of Miranda warnings) and someday it will swing back. That is how balance is acquired.

I hope to heck that using whatever methods they can the agencies responsible are checking to see who else checked out the schools our children go to. If not, they are not doing their job correctly.
